The former teacher was seriously inured in a road traffic collision in Innishannon on the 29th of December and passed away this morning.
His lively commentary on C103 endeared him to thousands of listeners for over thirty years.
He is survived by his wife Colette, daughters Claire and Emily, three brothers and a grandson.
