Two out of three construction deaths this year have been the result of workers falling from heights.
Construction Safety Month will focus on critical risks, including working at a height, lifting and unloading.
The Construction Industry Federation says companies must make sure they are getting the safety basics right.
The CIF's Director of Safety and Training, Dermot Carey, describes where the most risk lies:
"Continuously, we know that that working at height is the most hazardous operation in the construction sector and we know that continuously, they are the most prominent reason for fatal accidents or indeed life changing accidents within the construction industry".
