For the second time in less than six weeks, Cork are All Ireland Under 20 Hurling Champions.

The Rebels turned in a superb performance to see off Galway in Semple Stadium last night, winning on a scoreline of 4-19 to 2-14

Blarney's Padraig Power was named man of the match after scoring 1-5 from play.

It's the first time Cork have secured back to back titles since 1998.

Speaking afterwards Cork boss Pat Ryan paid tribute to his players.

"Look, there was a lot of things thrown at us, a lot of obstacles put in our way - obviously winning the All Ireland [against Dublin last month] and having that bit of success and then Covid hit us.

"The players have shown great resilience, and that's what you're looking for in men of 18, 19, 20 years of age, that they're able to show that resilience, and the lads did that in abundance."

The first part of the Rebel Treble is now complete, with the minors to face Galway on Saturday evening followed by the seniors' meeting with Limerick on Sunday.
