A US astronaut has visited Cork.
Retired NASA scientist Dr. Steve Swanson spoke to students MTU Corkabout his experiences of life in orbit.
He has spent almost 200 days in space in total, been to the International Space Station three times and has completed five space walks.
Dr Swanson also spoke to secondary students in Midleton College and to workers at DELL in Ballincollig.
