Over 20 walk-in Covid vaccination centres are opening throughout the country today.
Those aged over 16 are eligible to show up at over the facilities over the bank holiday weekend, to get their first dose.
Damien McCallion, the HSE's national lead for the vaccination programme, is encouraging people to show up.
"Our vaccination centres that are currently used throughout the country. They're all going to be operating over the weekend, the vast majority will offer walk-in. What it was it people as please check it to see data either a small number of centres that won't offer that service over the weekend for operational reasons. They're also available at certain times, so they will only open a certain time, so it's important that people only turn up for walk-in at those designated times unfortunately outside that times walk ins won't be able to be accepted."
