Work to tackle discoloured water on the Northside of the city will begin tomorrow.
Uisce Eireann will start work on zones in Dublin Hill and areas off the Ballyvolane Road and will take place overnight from 8pm to 4am.
The water provider says its gradually replacing old cast iron pipes alongside the flushing works as it tackles the 2 year long issue of brown dirty water in the city.
Speaking to RedFM News, Uisce Eireann Engineer Paul Moroney says the flushing will get rid of water discoloration in the short term:
"This program should deal with the instances of discoloration in the short term. I don't think we can say that it will never need to be flushed again. However, in the work that we've done in the areas that we've completed so far, it has relieved the areas far a number of weeks and months."
