A young girl was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car in Belgooly yesterday evening.
Emergency services including the air ambulance were alerted to the incident which happened on the R600 at around 6.30pm.
The girl was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries and Gardai say an investigation is ongoing.
In a statement to RedFM News, Gardaí said:
"Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred on the R600 road in Belgooly, Co. Cork on Wednesday 23rd April 2025.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30pm and involved a car and a pedestrian. A female child was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Investigation is ongoing."
